Psychological and Counseling Services

Counseling is a helping process that takes place in an atmosphere of acceptance, respect, and trust. Making an adjustment to a new diagnosis or living with chronic pain is challenging, stressful and at times can be overwhelming and many find the support of a counselor very helpful in making this transition. The purpose of counseling is to help you identify personal strengths to adjust to your medical illness and develop ways to live life more fully. We provide care focused on enhancing your coping to your illness and help ease, and many times prevent, treatment side effects. Counselors work with people to help them understand themselves, their behaviors, feelings, and relationships.
