Associated Neurologists of Southern Connecticut is dedicated to providing the highest quality care to patients and want to thank you for the privilege of providing your care.

Over the past few years we are seeing an increase in the number of patients who fail to show up for their scheduled appointment or fail to call the office to cancel their scheduled appointment within a reasonable time frame. Every scheduled appointment that is missed jeopardizes the patient/physician relationship and the patient/neuropsychologist relationship and prevents us from providing care to other patients in need.

In an effort to correct this problem, effective May 1, 2006, ANSC instituted a no-show policy in which we reserve the right to charge a fee in the amount of $50.00 for a no show appointment, or for calling the office the day of the scheduled appointment to cancel. In addition, effective September 1, 2012, we reserve the right to charge $75.00 for a no show appointment for the following visits: Consults, Consults with an EMG, EEG's, EMG's, and Lumbar Punctures due to the length of these appointments. These charges are not billable to insurance and will be the patient's responsibility to pay before another appointment will be scheduled.

We truly regret having to take this action, but hope that this will improve access to all patients needing care from our neurologists and neuropsychologists.

A non-emergent appointment is usually scheduled within two weeks of the request. If you need to cancel an appointment, 48-hour notice is appreciated, and 24-hour notice is required or you may incur a no-show fee (Please read our no-show policy here). Please note 48-hour notice is required for all Neuropsychological and therapy appointments.

We ask that you arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time so that you can complete the patient information form and any other forms, or germane information, required for each visit. We make a sincere effort to adhere to our appointment schedule, but emergencies do occur, and delays are sometimes unavoidable. We thank you in advance for your patience should a delay occur during your visit with us.

As always, we appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
