Clinical trials for patients with brain tumors will be opening soon at ANSC.
Dr. Blondin is the director of the biweekly Neuro-Oncology Tumor Board at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. The tumor board is attended by radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, neurosurgeons, neuro-radiologists and neuro-pathologists. Patient cases are discussed in order to formulate a multidisciplinary treatment plan. When applicable, the tumor board adheres to National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) Guidelines for treatment recommendations.
St. Vincent’s Medical Center is now a certified member of the MDAnderson Cancer Network. Through this affiliation, Dr. Blondin discusses treatment plans and obtains second opinion consultations with MDAnderson neuro-oncologists.
